it's true that i may be one of the few self-proclaimed hippies that also happens to be a slave to fashion, but i figure if i'm going to talk the hippie talk and walk the hippie walk, it might as well be in fabulous shoes. it's true, i scored a pair of amazing plaid tom's for xmas, but what's an earth lovin' girl to do when she wants to get dressed up and hit the town?

enter dacca boots.




Designed by Camila Labra, a Chilean industrial design student, these boots are made mostly of recycled plastic bags that have been fused together in layers for durability. According to treehugger and the designer, the boots are "impermeable, flexible, light and non toxic. Their interior is covered with quilted piqué cotton fabric to make them more comfortable and prevent too much heat." And their only 45 US buckaroos, special order! Amazing!
